Abstract

Extractivism is an activity practiced by native peoples, Quilombolas, peasants to obtain products from nature, sharing goods of common use, for the reproduction of life. The reintegration of food processing into the farm is an imperative in the face of agri-food empires. Floriculture, which takes place mainly in small establishments, is highly employable and profitable per area. Aware of the importance of these three activities for the Brazilian countryside, this text aims to understand the data on extractive production, floriculture and rural agro-industry from a multi-scalar perspective, according to the different agricultural establishments. To this end, bibliographical, documentary and internet research was used. The results indicate the primacy of small establishments, the reduced contribution of the medium-sized ones, the derisory contribution of the large ones, and a participation of a certain amount of groups without an area in the quantity produced and in the production values of plant extraction and rural agro-industry. In floriculture, in the various branches, the small strata are the majority, which, together with the medium ones, control the sales value of products of the sector. In general, this reaffirms the efficiency and effectiveness of the small area strata in Brazilian agriculture.
