Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

ARTICLES

On the expected content: Manuscripts submitted to the NERA Journal must be original. An original manuscript does not consist solely of a review of previous publications on the research topic. An original manuscript must contribute to the relevant field of research.

Theoretical manuscripts must present more than a synthesis of a given topic; they should introduce new elements and approaches to a theoretical issue, as well as critically discuss the theme chosen for the manuscript.

Research results manuscripts: an original manuscript may be based on data collection, which usually includes direct or indirect observation of the researched subject (whether in a laboratory, in the field, or through various other types of primary sources, such as documentation). The manuscript must include the justification, objectives, methodology, results, and final considerations, offering a new interpretation of the results and/or data.

Manuscripts submitted to the NERA Journal must be unpublished and may not be submitted to any other journal while under review. The practice of submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal is considered duplicate submission. It is mandatory to submit, as a supplementary document, the manuscript’s originality statement, according to the template available in the NERA Journal author guidelines. The document must be signed by all authors and must be submitted in PDF format as a supplementary document at the time of submission.
