(2025), v. 9, esp. 1, EMANCIPACIONES Y TERRITORIOS EN AMÉRICA LATINA

The Articulación Centroamericanista O Istmo — in partnership with the Latin American Council of Social Sciences (CLACSO) and the Graduate Program in Social Policy and Human Rights at the Catholic University of Pelotas (PPG-PSDH/UCPel) — coordinates the organizing committee of the Latin American Emancipations Initiative: Between Utopias and Dystopias (ELAUD), active since 2021.

In collaboration with the Graduate Program in Geography at the Faculty of Science and Technology of São Paulo State University – Presidente Prudente campus (FCT/UNESP), the ELAUD Initiative is launching in 2025, in the scientific journal GeoAtos, the dossier “EMANCIPATIONS AND TERRITORIES IN LATIN AMERICA”, which encompasses perspectives, issues, and regions through critical analysis, informational relevance, and research quality, spanning the territories we refer to as Latin America — from Mexico to Uruguay — and decisively including the countries of Central America.
