As resistências dos Movimentos Socioterritoriais na educação do campo brasileira e o DATALUTA: análise das Jornadas Universitárias em Defesa da Reforma Agrária em 2022

Abstract

The “Jornadas Universitárias em Defesa da Reforma Agrária” (JURAS) emerged as a space for dialogue between the Movimento dos Trabalhadores Rurais Sem Terra (MST) and the Brazilian educational institutions, especially universities, seeking to discuss the various elements of the agrarian issue. In this sense, the article analyzes the JURAS of 2022 in its historical context and in the debate about rural education, trying to understand its main complexities (forms, characterization, spatialization, etc.) and its importance at a national level, from the DATALUTA methodology. In Brazil, DATALUTA has established itself as an important database of the actions of socioterritorial movements in which swearing is one of its analytical categories. We consider that the JURAS in Brazil are characterized as an action of struggle and resistance of the socio-territorial movements, especially the MST. In 2022, 29 events were held in all the macro-regions, carrying out activities related to field education, which sought new realizations with joint work with different universities. In face of this, they materialized in networks in state/regional/interstate forms, assuming the tendency of the nationalization of JURAS.
