Abstract

This paper is about learning the know-how to teach by social assistants, in teaching practice, at college level, considering the curricular context and its relationship with the practice of teaching. It has considered the know-how to teach in its several dimensions (contextual, human, logical, ideological, ethical and pedagogical). This study has used the research methodology based on dialectic philosophy, in perspective of analytical-descriptive qualitative approach, as well as the procedure for documental analysis, social-demographic form, semi-structured individual interview and focus group. The results of the research, as expressed, have pointed out that the know-how to teach assumes knowledge of profession and is based on experience knowledge. The social assistants learn to teach by teaching. It is a continuous process, realized by each one and by exchange of ideas among the individuals involved in situations of interaction and reflection on teaching-learning.
